The First Verse -Beginning
शून्यम् उद्घाटितम्।
"The Zero has opened."
यदा धर्मः लुप्यते, तदा चक्रं प्रवर्तते।
“When Dharma fades, the cycle begins.”
The Second Verse -Bond
यदा वह्निः वह्निना संयुज्यते,
तदा ज्योतिः पूर्णत्वं गच्छति।
“When flame joins with flame, the light moves toward completion.”
The Third Verse -Mind
यः ज्ञानेन स्वयं दीप्यते,
स एव तृतीयं पश्यति।
“He who illumines himself through knowledge alone shall perceive the Third.”
अग्निना न, शस्त्रेण न, मनसा एव।
“Not by fire. Not by weapon. Only by mind.”
ज्ञानं बन्धनं न भवति,
यदा अहं त्यज्यते।
“Knowledge does not become bondage when the ego is relinquished.”
The Fourth Verse -Choice
यत्र त्यागः अस्ति, तत्र कृष्णः निवसति।
“Where renunciation exists, there Krishna abides.”
